Ahoy there crewmember, After a remarkable Indian Summer it seems winter really is on the way with the first hint of snow in the forecast (hard to believe today though as it is clear and calm and would be an ideal day to be out fishing) The economy season always brings a flurry of bookings as those in the know make the most of the quiet after the Easter crowds. The whole fleet has worked hard and are lined up for the annual maintenance schedule, with several vessels already having been hauled and antifouled. With the maintenance schedule in mind we are reducing bookings for late June to mid July but rest assured we will be up and ready for the opening of the scallop season on July 15. Book early for the first of the scallops as many of our return 'blokes trips' base their annual holiday around a long weekend on EJ at this time of year. EJ really comes into her own for these groups as she has a massive stern deck, plenty of space in the lazerette for dive and fishing gear, a diesel heater and can accommodate up to 9. Our current discounts have been very popular as they reward longer charters and as with any holiday, it takes more than a day or two to unwind and begin to truly relax and the beauty of the Sounds is there is always somewhere new and unexplored or a favourite old haunt to tuck in to. We already have a number of confirmed bookings for the Christmas / New Year period so its time to start planning so you don't miss out and remember to include your 'last charter date' on the booking form so we can deduct your 10% - the only discount available through the New Year period. Boats of the month - August/September "Phoenix" & "Jumelle" Phoenix is surveyed for 10 but 8 is ideal. Peak season rates are $640 per day during peak season so that works out to be only $80 each for 24hrs (accommodation on board), out on the water here in the beautiful Sounds. That's pretty good! Here are a few options for you and your crew for accommodation with our boat and Bach packages. Prices and the number of guests vary with each. The Bach's range between $180 and $350 per night. Discounts are available with bookings of more than one night. Each batch has a mooring which you are able to use when you stay ashore. Some have a jetty and one has a floating jetty. One of our fleet favourites, E.J , has been fitted with and brand new Raymarine colour chart plotter/radar as well as a diesel heater for the Autumn/early winter season to keep you warm and cozy. So with those perfect clear and calm days during Autumn/early winter you can keep your shorts and T-shirt on in the evening now! Don't forget we have a fully stocked shop with all the gear, tackle and bait you will need for your trip here in the Sounds. We have over 40 rods for hire and the shop has grown since last season and has been updated with the latest stock, soft baits and so on. The scallop season opens on the 15th of July and EJ already has been booked for that weekend so be in to take advantage of the new seasons bounty! We have new kayaks to hire this season. They are a great way to get the kids out if they have cabin fever! Hours of fun for all the family. They are rugged and stable and easily stored on deck as they are only 2.7m long. 
We also have new 2.5 HP 4-Stroke Suzuki Outboards. The new Suzuki 4 stroke is easy to start, reliable and very quiet. Great on fuel economy as one tanks goes for ages. It's very light to lift on and off your dinghy. Most of our dinghies have hard bottoms. Please enquire with us for further details on your vessels dinghy.
