The comfort of a shore base with easy access to the Marlborough Sounds. Relax and explore ashore or out in the Sounds, with the independence of your own boat to get you out there its your choice!

Especially if you have younger kids or those who don't want to be on the water everyday, it is so easy to accommodate everyone. There is so much in Picton, Blenheim and Marlborough to keep you busy. Located in a central but quiet area, a stroll 3 minutes down the road takes you to the marina (which has a Bar/Restaurant, chandleries, launching ramp, boat hire etc.) - the main gateway to the Marlborough Sounds! Picton is 5 minutes drive away and the vineyards of Marlborough are just 30 minutes away. Plus there's so much more to do.

Once you have been out and about all day, come back, have a BBQ or cook a meal in the brand new kitchen, and relax under the shade of the Silk tree on the deck, have a friendly game of pool (3/4 size table), Darts or Table soccer. The games room is lots of fun for the whole family!! Or go for a walk to the marina, Waikawa Bay or just across the road to the reserve to run around or explore the creek. The location, hills and massive Silk tree will have you relaxing in no time.

Bring your fish back with you and cook it on the BBQ or make ceviche, there are citrus trees in the garden to go with your fish!

This A-frame has lovingly been FULLY rebuilt and modernised, the original was one of the first Baches built on Beach Road back in 1968 and is a landmark on the road. Although she has had a major facelift her beautiful calm soul remains, putting all who stay there at ease as soon as they arrive.

Dogs are welcome too!! The property is fully fenced and the reserve across the road is a dog park, there are numerous walks to go on too, accessible by foot from the bach.

• Double bed with a single bunk over it

GETTING THERE/AROUND

There is plenty of parking on the property for cars and a boat plus free on street parking for extra cars.
The area is serviced by local shuttle companies (Picton Shuttles and Waikawa Shuttles) if you don't have a car.
Picton has car hire companies.
Sounds Air have a drop off/pick up service for passengers that book a transfer with their flight.
Picton is a 30-45 minute walk either along the road or on a lovely track along the base of the hills/reserve.
