The idea of the Boat and Bach has been so popular in recent years. The Boat and Bach option allows the freedom of a Sounds Bach holiday with the fun and adventure of a runabout for all your days activities – Exploring, Ski biscuiting, Knee boarding, Water skiing or fishing etc.

We have worked for many years with Kathie at Kulak Rent a House. She coordinates the bookings for over 80 Sounds Baches and will tailor the Bach to fit your groups individual requirements and can ensure you have a suitable approved mooring with the Bach.

NB: If you are organising your Bach rental privately, it is essential to get confirmation of a currently serviced and registered mooring suitable for the length of the vessel for insurance purposes. Confirmation of this needs to be sent to us.

The Boat
Not only do you control your transport to and from the Bach without needing to coordinate with a water-taxi timetables (and the additional cost!). You also have access to the Sounds during your stay, there is so much to see and do. And you can pop back to top up supplies with ease.
IMPORTANT: All runabouts must be secured to a registered mooring overnight, not anchored or tied to a jetty. The runabouts may not be beached at any time. Please let us know in advance if you are planning on towing the boat (a suitable vehicle for the length of the boat is required).
